Lectors Meeting following Evening Mass, Thurs. Nov. 3rd

All lectors in the parish are encouraged to attend a meeting with Fr. Romelito on Thursday night this week, following the evening Mass.  It’s purpose is to address any questions and unify our procedures and movements  when serving as a lector.

Extra-ordinary Ministers of the Eucharistic Meeting

Following 7 pm Mass on Thursday, Nov. 10th Father would like to meet with all wo are extra-ordinary Ministers of the Eucharist.  The purpose of the meeting is to address questions and unify our procedures and movements when serving in this Ministry.

Christmas Hampers

Christmas still seems far away, but this is the time when the Vincentians have to start planning for the Christmas hampers for the less fortunate in our community.  If you, or someone you know, needs a hamper for Christmas, please call the parish office.  We always hear in the gospel how much Jesus loves the poor, so please, do not be shy, it is our privilege to help.

Month of November – A special time to pray for our deceased

All are welcome to enter names of their family and friends in our ‘Book of Life” which is situation at the front of the church, close to the tablernacle. We will be offering additional prayers for the deceased this month.

Catholic Women’s League Membership Due

It’s time for submitting your 2023 membership fee which is $40.  If paid by November 30th your name will be entered into a draw for the chance to win your 2024 membership fee.  Our fee has been increased to $40/year.    If you are using Church Envelopes, please note they were already printed before the increase decision was made.  You may put your membership in the collection basket – clearing marking it CWL Membership.  All ladies invited to consider becoming a member.  Questions, call Diane at 519-375-6562 or Geraldine 519-363-9690.  Thank you.

CWL Christmas Dinner Tickets on this weekend & next weekend

The CWL’s Christmas dinner will be held on Tuesday, Nov 22. Come out and enjoy a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. There will be a Mass at 5:00 p.m. with dinner to follow at 6:00 p.m. All ladies from Holy Family, our Mission Churches in Chesley and Carlsruhe are invited. Tickets for the dinner are $25 per person and can be purchased after weekend Masses starting Oct 29 until Nov 6. After that tickets are available through the parish office. Come out and enjoy an evening of good food and fellowship.

Crokinole is Back!

We are excited to once again offer a Crokinole Fun Night!  On  Saturday, November 12th following the 6 pm Mass there will be progressive Crokinole played in the Lenhard Room.  Everyone is welcome to come and join in – brings some snacks to share and those who have Crokinole boards, please bring them along.

Spiritual Bouquet for Bishop Crosby’s 25th Anniversary of Ordination as a Bishop 

The diocese is organizing a spiritual bouquet to present to Bishop Crosby on January 2nd in celebration of his anniversary.  If you would like to contribute to it, please contact the parish office, by November 15th.  A spiritual contribution would be offering prayers and/or actions for his     intentions, such as Rosaries, Morning Offerings, Acts of Charity, Acts of Mercy, Holy Communions.

Card Parties On Tuesdays – All are welcome

Join with others for a friendly game of Euchre or Solo on Tuesdays at 1:30 pm in the Holy Family Lenhard Room.  Everyone welcome, bring a friend.  Admittance: $2.    Sacred Heart in Walkerton also hosts a card party on Thursdays at 1:30!
