Do you enjoy flower gardening?
We have been very blessed by wonderful volunteers who keep our church flowerbeds looking great. We have one volunteer who is unable to help out this year, so we are looking for one person or a team of two, to care for the flower bed by the chapel entrance and keep the stones beds weed free. We have a team of two who have been caring for the rest of the flower gardens (but they would welcome a hand from time to time as well).
If you enjoy flower gardening and would consider serving God and the parish in this way, please contact the parish office.

St. Francis Xavier Church’s 150th Anniversary in celebration with Holy Family Parish Picnic
11:00 am Anniversary Mass in Carlsruhe Main Celebrant: Archbishop Peter Hundt Parish Picnic to follow at the beautiful St. Francis Xavier church grounds. This is a joint event for all our parishes: St. Francis Xavier, St. Anne & Holy Family. The Knights will provide a BBQ – we ask that you bring pot luck salad or dessert to share (in a cooler) & lawn chair(s). The Holy Family Children’s Liturgy Team are providing games & activities for the children. Perhaps we can get a game of volleyball going for the young and the young at heart! Plan to come & celebrate our joint faith community – a sign up sheet to help us prepare will be posted at the end of May.
Spring Unify starts Wednesday, May 31st
A light meal begins the evening at 6 pm – bring a salad to share if you can. Service starts at 6:30 pm and ends about 8 pm. It will include worship, a teaching, sharing and praying. Our hope is for nice weather so we can be outside in the parking lot. Bring a lawn chair & dress accordingly. Bring friends, your children – it’s for everyone!
Next Sunday is Pentecost Sunday: Help yourself to a copy of a Novena, praying for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, available in the Narthex.
Universal Studio’s is working at putting together our Parish Photo Directory . If you missed getting your photo taken and would like to submit a picture for the directory, please contact the parish office. We would like everyone included!
Cursillo Weekends 2023
- Women’s Weekend is Thurs May 25-28
- Men’s Weekend is Thurs June 15 -18
We all know God, but how many of us truly know God on a personal and intimate level? A three day Cursillo weekend, which is a short review of Christianity, is designed to help you on that journey. Beginning on Thursday night and ending Sunday afternoon, through a series of talks by lay people and clergy, Celebration of Mass & Reconciliation, you will get to take a closer look at yourself, God, and others. So, if you are an adult, 19 years of age or older, and are open to a closer relationship with our God and Saviour, consider a Cursillo. For more information, please contact Tony or Colleen at 519-496-8114

This Sunday’s Gospel
Matthew:28: 16-20 Discussion Questions:
- How did the reality of Jesus’ resurrection “dawn” upon you? Were you more of a quick believer or a slow doubter? Why?
- In what ways can you fulfill “the Great Commission” in the context of your family? Work? Community?
