Consider leaving a gift to the parish through your Will. A gift (sometimes referred to as a bequest) to the parish is a profound way to return to the Lord a share of the blessings you received in your lifetime. Bequests are quite simple to include in your Will, and have become increasingly common for people to do. Your financial advisor can assist you with this. A gift like this can help the parish maintain and upkeep our churches for generations to come – thank you for considering this type of gift to the parish.
Are you, or someone you know, interested in becoming a Catholic?
The Holy Spirit is alive and moving in our midst. Many times people will share that their hearts are longing or stirring for ’something more’. Often it just takes a simple invitation extended with sincerity to really help them take that next step to inquire.
The RCIA program teaches the faith in a casual way and encourages opportunities to experience God’s love as the inquirer discerns their faith journey. As we near the fall schedule, please prayerfully consider those in your circle of work, family, or friends that might be waiting for that invitation.
Are you a seeker? You need not wait to be personally invited, please contact Anne, at the parish office to enrol yourself.

This Sunday’s Gospel
Matthew 15: 21-28
Discussion Questions:
- What does this passage tell us about Jesus and the benefits of persistence?
- What does this passage tell us about the art of responding to Jesus, and about humility?
- Can you think of a time when you responded like the disciples, wanting to rid yourself of someone bothersome, rather than help them?
- Take a bit of time to repent of any failings and earnestly pray “Lord, help me”
