Losing your life in order to save it

The Paradox of the Cross

Highlights

  • We are blessed to have been filling our Masses to capacity for some time now. We are in consultation on the possibility of adding a second Mass on Sunday morning to accommodate more people. We invite your feedback as part of our consultation. Please send us an email, write us a note, or follow this link to fill out the form. Thanks for your patience as we navigate uncharted waters!
  • Bishop Crosby invites us to join him in praying a Novena for the beginning of the School year beginning on August 31.
  • Alpha for Fall 2020 will be offered both in-person and online! It has never been easier to invite a friend to join Alpha. Please share on social media or however you see your friends!
  • Do you have a child making their first Communion, Confirmation or being Baptized this year? It is important that you register for either the online or in-person version of Alpha as part of our preparation program for parents.

Matthew 16:21-27

Discussion Questions

  1. Peter had a hard time accepting Jesus’ impending fate. What is going on in your own life right now that is hard to accept?
  2. In what ways does following Jesus require you to “lose your life” so that you may gain it? Are Jesus’ words too harsh?
