A voice cries out in the dessert prepare the way of the Lord! Make straight in the wasteland a highway for our God!

Therefore stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour

Call no one on earth your father, you have but one Father in heaven. Do not be called ‘Master’ you have but one master, the Christ.

You shall love the Lord, your God,
with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

Then repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.

Behold, I have prepared my banquet, my calves and fattened cattle are killed, and everything is ready; come to the feast.

Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather humbly regard others as more important than yourselves

Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant, as I had pity on you?

Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind
