Jubilee Year of Hope Debt Forgiveness – The parish of St. Francis Xavier in Carlsruhe has obtained a forgiveness of debt of $22,473.55 from the Diocese under the direction of Most Rev. Douglas Crosby, Bishop of Hamilton. His letter asks that this good news be shared “with your Parish community and that this may build the spirit of solidarity and fraternal communion contemplated by this Jubilee Year of Hope.” Let us be encouraged and praise our Lord Jesus for his providence as we work to maintain and upkeep our beautiful rural churches.

Thank you Herb & Cathy Girodat would like to thank all those who helped them celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. Your best wishes and cards are so appreciated.

Adoration Hours Available: Monday 2-3 pm, Tuesday early morning 1-2 am, & Thursday 10 – 11 am & 4-5 pm Call Don & Helen at 364-1185 if you can sub or fill any of these hours.

Considering becoming a Catholic?
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the normal way in which adults become full, active, participating members of the Catholic Church. If you are considering becoming Catholic or know of someone who is interested in becoming a Catholic, please pick up from the narthex the brochure “Consider Becoming a Catholic,” fill out the form on the back (including an email address if you have one) and drop it into the parish office, or in the collection basket. The office will then organize an appointment for the inquirer to see Fr. Romelito.  Interviews with Father are informal and should be completed by September as we plan to commence the next RCIA program in October. We will meet weekly from October to late April next year. For further information, please contact Francis-Joseph (FJ) Gross, the RCIA coordinator, on 519-364-2072 or fjhgross@wightman.ca

Interested in journeying alongside a RCIA candidate as a Catholic Sponsor? Learn more. Contact F.J. Gross (see above information)

Let’s work together for a Scent-free Environment – please note some members of our community have very negative reactions to scents. Thank you.

Play a Musical Instrument?
Consider volunteering and sharing your gift and talent at the Sunday 11am Mass in Carlsruhe. Please speak with Claire or Mary-Catherine after Mass.

Reflection on Today’s Gospel Luke 12: 32-48

         1. What does Jesus assure us of in this passage?

  • 2. What does Jesus tell us to do?
  • 3. Share or reflect on your experience of a ‘prudent manager’ in your life?  What did they do to win your admiration?
  • 4. Share or reflect on your struggles in being a faithful servant/slave.  What can you improve on?
  • 5. Share / reflect on 5 of your greatest blessings and seek the inspiration of the Holy Spirit on how you can store up heavenly treasures.
