Girls Group

New Initiative starting this week

Each Thursday during lent, Holy Family is organizing a girl’s group in the Lenhard room from 4:30 – 5:30.  All girls aged 9 – 12 are invited.  The girls will do a craft, then have a teaching and a time of sharing.  No experience of faith is necessary.  There will be 7 sessions, one every Thursday until Easter beginning with Thursday, March 3rd.  For more information text or call Niki Billington at 705-491-5998

Intensify your prayer!

Everyone is encouraged to intensify your prayer for World Peace.   We must examine our own lives, repent and pray for God’s mercy which is so greatly needed.  Let us live in hope and confidence,  rejecting fear yet doing all we can to pray and offer penance in reparation of our own, and world sin.

Attending weekday Mass / Adoration & taking time for daily prayer, devotions and reflecting on scripture are all ways we can move forward in our prayer life.

Unify – last one of winter session Friday

Friday, March 4 is the last evening of our Unify winter series. Parishioners are welcome to join us for a seeker-friendly version of the Stations of the Cross. Please invite a friend or family member who is not a member of our community! Unify begins at 7:00pm.

Discussion Questions

  • Jesus Explains, “Out of abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks”  Have you ever caught yourself saying something that surprised you?  A deep seeded anger / fear / resentment?
  • How can one work on eliminating undesirable “baggage” in one’s heart?  What might be “feeding” it?
  • What opposing virtue will be helpful and how can you apply it to daily life?
