Annual Report Society of St. Vincent de Paul Holy Family Parish Conference, Hanover
Dear Parishioners:
A sincere thank you to all who in any way helped to make our Christmas Hamper program a great success. May God bless you for your generosity to our monthly envelope collection and the extra donations given before Christmas. Through the kindness of donations we were able to provide hampers to 72 families/individuals, including gifts for 59 children this Christmas. Thank you for picking up gift requests from the giving tree and providing beautiful gifts and gift cards for the children. During the year we were able to assist 643 adults and 259 children during 403 church visits. This is an increase of over 26% from 2024, and an increase of 47% from 2023. Over 12,000 pounds of food was given out in 2025 with outreach and Christmas hampers.
Your donations also help support other campaigns for those less fortunate throughout the year:
Sponsoring children to summer camp
Special circumstances funding for outstanding expenses, based on need, i.e. heating, hydro, etc.
It is truly heartwarming to see our parish family serve those less fortunate with love, respect, justice and joy. May God bless us all in this coming year.
With grateful thanks,
Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Holy Family Parish Conference

The Installation of His Excellency, Bishop Joseph Dabrowski, as the 10th Bishop of Hamilton will take place on Monday, February 2, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King in Hamilton. This is an invitation-only liturgical celebration. For those unable to attend in person, the Mass will be livestreamed (Find the link on the Diocesan Website), allowing the wider diocesan community to participate prayerfully from home. We invite the faithful of the Diocese to keep our new Bishop in prayer as he begins his episcopal ministry among us, asking that he be warmly welcomed and supported in this new chapter of service. A few weeks following the Installation, Bishop Dabrowski will celebrate Mass with the diocesan community on the First Sunday of Lent.

Reflection on Today’s Gospel
Matthew 4: 12- 23
How has coming to know Jesus been like moving from darkness to light for you?
Spiritually, are you still preparing the nets? (waiting for the call), Leaving the boat? (just started answer the call to follow), following with a firm resolve and involvement, or feeling left behind?
Say a prayer today and commit to following Jesus more intentionally
