Considering becoming a Catholic?
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the normal way in which adults become full, active, participating members of the Catholic Church. If you are considering becoming Catholic or know of someone who is interested in becoming a Catholic, please pick up from the narthex the brochure “Consider Becoming a Catholic,” fill out the form on the back (including an email address if you have one) and drop it into the parish office, or in the collection basket. The office will then organize an appointment for the inquirer to see Fr. Romelito.  Interviews with Father are informal and should be completed by September as we plan to commence the next RCIA program in October. We will meet weekly from October to late April next year. For further information, please contact Francis-Joseph (FJ) Gross, the RCIA coordinator, on 519-364-2072 or fjhgross@wightman.ca

Interested in journeying alongside a RCIA candidate as a Catholic Sponsor? Learn more. Contact F.J. Gross (see above information)

Let’s work together for a Scent-free Environment – please note some members of our community have very negative reactions to scents. Thank you.

Play a Musical Instrument?
Consider volunteering and sharing your gift and talent at the Sunday 11am Mass in Carlsruhe. Please speak with Claire or Mary-Catherine after Mass.

Reflection on Today’s Gospel Luke 10: 25-37

  1. Share or reflect on a time when someone went out of their way to help you or someone you knew. How did their actions inspire you?
  2. Give praise and thanksgiving for an opportunity you embraced to likewise lift a cross and help another.
  3. Like Christ, the Samaritan laid down his life to care for another. Invite the Holy Spirit to aluminate how you can love your neighbour in a sacrificial way this week.
  4. Examine your conscience and ask forgiveness for the sin of omission, when you have passed by a person in need.
  5. Start each day prayerfully reciting the Great Commandment: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbour as thyself”
