4th World Day for Grandparents & the Elderly: Pope’s message

Are you, or someone you know, interested in becoming a Catholic?
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the normal way in which adults become full, active, participating members of the Catholic Church.

If you are considering becoming Catholic, or know of someone who is interested in becoming a Catholic, please pick up from the narthex the brochure “Consider Becoming a Catholic,” fill out the form on the back and drop it into the parish office, or in the collection basket. The office will then organize an appointment for the inquirer to see Fr. Romelito. Appointments are conducted in a casual format and should be completed by early September as we plan to commence the next RCIA program in October. We will meet weekly from October to early May next year.

Everyone’s faith journey is uniquely special, and God’s love is powerful and exciting, bringing new life to whomever is open to receive it. Parish Office: 519-364-1973, Ext. 0 or info@holyfamily.ca

Scripture Quote to Ponder and Put in Action:
“Though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again” – Proverbs 24:16

Reflection on Today’s Gospel: Mark 6: 30 – 34

  • What can we learn about Jesus from this passage?
  • What is admirable and note worthy about the people in this passage? About the apostles?
  • Pray for an increase in spiritual zeal!
