Hosted by Deacon Charles. Beginners welcome! Please bring a Bible (provided if you don’t have one). For information e-mail charles@holyfamily.ca or 519-923-0454.
  • Grandparent Day! The World Day for Grandparents and Elderly is held annually on the fourth Sunday of July, near the liturgical memorial of  the grandparents of Jesus, Saints Joachim and Anne (which is July 26 this year). The theme for 2025 is “Blessed are those who have not lost hope” (cf. Sir 14:2). Considering becoming a Catholic?
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the normal way in which adults become full, active, participating members of the Catholic Church. If you are considering becoming Catholic or know of someone who is interested in becoming a Catholic, please pick up from the narthex the brochure “Consider Becoming a Catholic,” fill out the form on the back (including an email address if you have one) and drop it into the parish office, or in the collection basket. The office will then organize an appointment for the inquirer to see Fr. Romelito.  Interviews with Father are informal and should be completed by September as we plan to commence the next RCIA program in October. We will meet weekly from October to late April next year. For further information, please contact Francis-Joseph (FJ) Gross, the RCIA coordinator, on 519-364-2072 or fjhgross@wightman.ca

Interested in journeying alongside a RCIA candidate as a Catholic Sponsor? Learn more. Contact F.J. Gross (see above information)

Let’s work together for a Scent-free Environment – please note some members of our community have very negative reactions to scents. Thank you.

Play a Musical Instrument?
Consider volunteering and sharing your gift and talent at the Sunday 11am Mass in Carlsruhe. Please speak with Claire or Mary-Catherine after Mass.

Reflection on Today’s Gospel Luke 11: 1-13

  • Share comments or reflect on what Jesus tells his disciples in this passage?
  • Who taught you to pray? Do you admire someone else’s prayer life? Why?
  • What does your prayer life lack? Perseverance? Consistency? Format/structure? Spontaneity? A quiet atmosphere?
  • Speak to Jesus from your heart – if you are struggling with forgiveness – take it to the Sacrament of Reconciliation seeking the grace needed to move you in that direction.
