Annual Mission Coop
Fr. Linus Kinyua from the Diocese of Meru will be preaching next weekend at our Masses and giving a Mission Appeal.
The Diocese of Merus is in the Eastern province of Kenya along the Equator line, serving four counties. Meru Diocese serves a population of 108 million; half of whom are Catholics. The catholic church has continued to grow despite the poverty and other economic challenges. We are being asked for help and prayers for the success of the mission work. The pressing needs are:
- Improving the social economic condition of the the poor, especially orphans and neglected children to have the basic needs especially food and clean drinking water
- Evangelization – to train lay leaders, catechists and youth who work together with the priests in ministering to the Catholics in mission prayer houses
- Fostering Vocations – The Diocese has many you men aspiring for priesthood but does not have enough resources to train them
- Medical care – many people have no health insurance They depend on the church for medical care. Staffing the diocese health clinics and hospitals with qualified nurses and basic medications is also a priority for the church.
Your prayers and financial support will help the diocese of Meru achieve some of the above pressing needs as it continues with its missionary work.

Summer Bible Study
Deacon Charles will host a Bible Study on Acts 2 called “The Church on Fire” Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8 pm, July 5th to August 9th. All are invited.
Are you interested in becoming a Catholic?
If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith, we invite you to contact the parish office. This fall we will have a program (RCIA, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) for the purpose of sharing what the Catholic Church teaches and to support those discerning this decision. The program has an initial inquiry period and then progresses through many important topics of faith, shared, discussed and experienced in meaningful ways. Everyone’s faith journey is unique and special, and God’s love is powerful and exciting, bringing new life to whomever is open to receive it. More info: 519-364-1973

Discussion Questions:
- What catches your attention most from this passage?
- Who is someone you recognize who has a heavy load, but appears to be allowing the Lord to help them carry it?
