IMPORTANT MEETINGS FOLLOW-UP & INVITATION

Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting this past Monday. The sharing of information, ideas and questions regarding the financial aspect of the parish, the proposed addition and our future moving forward was very appreciated by both the participants and the members of the building and finance committee. The discussion was positive and motivating. There will be a follow up meeting on Monday June 24th at which we will be reviewing:

  • Parish Mission & Vision
  • The questions & comments from June 10th meeting – (Great for people that missed the mtg)
  • Needs Analysis for the Addition
  • Cost of Building Off site
  • Finance- Quick review of deficit / donation revenues
  • More questions / comments
  • Vote on where we go from here

This meeting is: Monday June 24th at 7:00 pm – The entire Parish is encouraged to come to this very important meeting with questions based on the information provided at the June 10th meeting.

If you have any questions in respect to the One Heart One Soul Monies Donated please contact Francis Doyle: 905-528-7988 Ext:2235

PAR Users / E transfer Donors: Please note we are now providing ‘a collection basket slip’ you are welcome to pick up and use during the offertory. Pick one up when you come in and/or take some for your purse/wallet. When the basket is passed throw it in, as a physical reminder of your participation in financially supporting our church and giving praise to God for your blessings.

A Special Thank you to Cuneo’s who came this week and dig a rug repair for our church donating their time, material and labour. Thank you so much!

Card Party Tuesday Afternoons: June 18th will be the last one until fall when we begin again on Tues. Sept. 10th. All are welcome – Admittance $2.

Milk Mat Mania: Update of Milk Bags – Keep bringing them in – we have volunteers to continue making the mats at home during the summer months. We want your clean dry milk bags for our mission project. Thanks.

Children’s Liturgy wraps up for the summer on June 23rd.
Thank you to all who have been participating in our Children’s Liturgy Program. We appreciate the work and dedication of the leaders and helpers and they have expressed their joy in sharing the gospel with the children. The program breaks for the summer months resuming in September. During the summer continue to pick up the weekly children’s bulletin in the red basket in the Narthex – an excellent resource for parents to help explain God’s word and give the children related fun activities.

Scripture Quote to Ponder and Put in Action:
“She opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.” Proverbs 31:26

Reflection on Today’s Gospel: Mark 4: 26-34 Discussion Questions:

  • What point was Jesus making in his parables of the Kingdom of God?
  • Why did he explain plainly to the disciples but not to ‘the crowds?”
  • Pray for the Holy Spirit to enlightened your understanding of God’s Kingdom and guide you to experience it in new ways.
