Considering becoming a Catholic?
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the normal way in which adults become full, active, participating members of the Catholic Church. If you are considering becoming Catholic or know of someone who is interested in becoming a Catholic, please pick up from the narthex the brochure “Consider Becoming a Catholic,” fill out the form on the back (including an email address if you have one) and drop it into the parish office, or in the collection basket. The office will then organize an appointment for the inquirer to see Fr. Romelito.  Interviews with Father are informal and should be completed by September as we plan to commence the next RCIA program in October. We will meet weekly from October to late April next year. For further information, please contact Francis-Joseph (FJ) Gross, the RCIA coordinator, on 519-364-2072 or fjhgross@wightman.ca

Reflection on Today’s Gospel Matthew 16: 13-19 Discussion Starters:

  1. What does this passage tell you about where knowledge comes from? How does one discern what is truth from above?
  2. What does this passage say about God’s victory over the gates of Hades? How does this truth affect your everyday life?
  3. What would you define as the ‘keys’ of the kingdom of heaven? Ponder the responsibility given to Peter and his successors – This week start a new habit… say a prayer every day for Pope Leo XIV
