Canadian Food for Children
Remember:
Food items is the most needed – donations still with’n best before dates please
Donations need to be clean, good repair, ready to use (more details in Parish News)

Canadian Food for Children is Canadian charity who supply food and good quality supplies to Missionaries serving in many poor countries. It began at the request of Mother Teresa to Dr. Simone of Toronto. We have been participating with this outreach for many, many years. Our volunteers pack donations which are shipped by the generosity of Cuneo’s to the Toronto Warehouse. Each month we highlight specific needs – but remember food is always the essential request.

Adoration Chapel
Today as we celebrate the gift of the Holy Eucharist, consider the awesomeness of His Holy Presence in our Adoration Chapel. Consider signing up for a committed hour, or give your name as a fill in sub and become a regular adorer, making yourself available for a quiet time of adoration and prayer. Let His grace and blessings fall upon you and your family as you knee in adoration of His Holiness, humbly hidden in the form of bread.
For more information contact the parish office so we can connect you to the Chapel coordinators.

Month of the Sacred Heart

The Church dedicates the month of June to the Sacred Heart of Jesus—the living sign of Christ’s infinite love for humanity. In the Heart of Jesus, we encounter both the source of Divine Mercy and the call to love as He loves. This month, Bishop Dabrowski invites us to place the Sacred Heart at the center of our homes, and continue offering daily this prayer;
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all of the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in thanksgiving for your favours, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my family and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father, Amen.

Additional prayers and resources for the Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus are available on the diocesan website: www.hamiltondiocese.com/sacredheart

Reflection on Today’s Gospel
John 6: 51-59

What promise is repeated three times for those who do come to him?

How would you describe your daily spiritual diet? ie: junk food, frozen food, baby food, leftovers, meat & potatoes, pure bread & wine?

Image that someone asked you “How do you hunger and thirst after God” What counsel could you offer?
