Considering becoming a Catholic?
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the normal way in which adults become full, active, participating members of the Catholic Church. If you are considering becoming Catholic or know of someone who is interested in becoming a Catholic, please pick up from the narthex the brochure “Consider Becoming a Catholic,” fill out the form on the back (including an email address if you have one) and drop it into the parish office, or in the collection basket. The office will then organize an appointment for the inquirer to see Fr. Romelito.  Interviews with Father are informal and should be completed by September as we plan to commence the next RCIA program in October. We will meet weekly from October to late April next year. For further information, please contact Francis-Joseph (FJ) Gross, the RCIA coordinator, on 519-364-2072 or fjhgross@wightman.ca

Let’s work together for a Scent-free Environment – please note some members of our community have very negative reactions to scents. Thank you.

C.W.L. NEWS   Our next meeting on 9th June at 7pm is the always popular book and plant exchange.  Do you have a great book you’d like to share?   Do you need to split up that bed of iris? – bring some with you to share with your CWL friends.  Take home someone else’s excess tomato plants!  Or just come and enjoy a social time for our last summer meeting, we’ll take a break and meet again in September.

CWL Mass for Members As part of the Ontario Provincial Council Mass intention initiative, the Mass here Saturday, June 7th is being offered for the intention of all CWL members in the Diocese of Hamilton.  This is a wonderful opportunity for parishioners to pray for themselves, for their wife, their mother, grandmother, sister.

Reflection on Today’s Gospel John 20: 19-23

Discussion Starters:

  • What steals your peace? What gives you peace? How is this passage connected to the Sacrament of Reconciliation?
  • How do you typically seek peace or consolation when you are upset?
  • What needs God’s peace in your life now?
