Mid-Week Lenten Service Each Wednesday during lent there is a 2 pm ecumenical service at the St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran church (red brick Lutheran). Come and enjoy the opportunity to pray in unity with other Christians. Light refreshments follow.

Lenten Confession also knows as the Sacrament of Reconciliation

All are encouraged to come to this healing Sacrament regularly, but especially during the season of Lent. Don’t wait till Holy Week, use the opportunity now… Father offers the sacrament 1/2 hour before all Mass times.

Formed.org This week check out the Lenten Daily Reflections. They are under 5 minutes and length, easy to fit in your day. Change your screen time from face book to these motivational reflections.  Not sure how to log on for free access, contact the parish office!

This week… World Day of Prayer Holy Family is hosting the the upcoming world Day of Pray on Friday, March 8th at 1:30 pm. Everyone is invited to come out and be a part of this prayerful event. This year the theme is based on Ephesians 4: 1-3 “I beg you… Bear with one another in Love” The script has been written by Palestine Women and reflects their culture. Come learn and pray with Christians all around the world. Light refreshments will follow in the Lenhard Room

Adoration Chapel – compiling a substitutes list

It would be most advantageous for the operation of the chapel to have a compiled list of people who would like to sub in from time to time when there is a need. We appeal especially to those who cannot commit to a regular hour but would be open to a sub call. You are welcome to indicate your preference so inquiries meet your usual times of availability if that makes it more possible for you (ie: generally available mornings Mon – Thursday, or Wed evenings only, or prefer night hours)

Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass Sunday, May 26th at 1:30 pm at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King, Hamilton. It’s for couples celebrating an anniversary for 25, 40, 50, 60 or more years in 2024. Register online www.hamiltondiocese.com or at the parish office.

Card Parties Tuesdays   All are welcome!  Join with others for a friendly game of euchre or solo on Tuesdays at 1:30 pm, in the Holy Family Lenhard Room.  Bring a friend.  $2.  Admittance

This Sunday’s Gospel

John 2: 13-25 Discussion Questions:

  •  1. What do you find surprising about this passage?
  • 2. What do you think the final sentence in this passage is trying to convey?
  • 3. What is one lesson you can learn and one action you can do that will bring you closer to being who you want to be in the eyes of God?
