  • Seeking children interested in helping with Good Friday Children’s Service see details https://holyfamily.ca/good-friday-childrens-service/
  • Annual Parish Report (extra copies available in Narthex for on-line readers) Holy Family’s new Stewardship Committee has compiled an Annual Report for 2024, which is inserted into the bulletins this week. Our parish is an amazing community, spread across 3 churches, and we have so much to be grateful for. Led by the Holy Spirit, we hope this report will encourage you in reflecting on all our parish has to offer, and your consideration of growth in mission, participation, and communion in 2025.
  • March for Life Bus Support After Mass this weekend, there will be an opportunity to support the youth bus travelling to the March for Life in Ottawa this May. A member of the Knights of Columbus will be at the back of the church to accept your donations. Your contributions will help make this important event possible for our youth. Thank you for your support!
  • Easter Schedule
  • Community Breakfast Next Sunday (April 6th) see details below
  • Please note the parish office will close early at 3 pm, this week

Lenten Confession

Take time now to plan your Lenten confession.  Father is available a half hour before all Masses.  Resources to help you examine your conscience are on the table in the Narthex.  Be encouraged by this quote from St. Mother Teresa “It is a place where I allow Jesus to take away from me everything that divides, destroys.”

Please note: there is also a Jubilee of Hope Day of Reconciliation on Sat. April 5th, from 10 – 4 pm at Immaculate Conception, Formosa

Church Improvements
The toilets have been backing up a lot, and after some scoping it was established we require more force for drainage. The three units have now been replaced with pressurized units – hopefully our previous troubles are swished down the drain! Thank you for your church support, making the necessary improvements possible.

Reflection on Today’s Gospel Luke 15: 1-3, 11-32 Discussion Questions

  • Have you ever found yourself in a state of sibling jealousy?
  • Can you relate to a parent’s joy and forgiveness of an estranged child?
  • Imagine yourself coming home to our heavenly Father at the end of your life… Would it resemble either of these son’s responses? What can you do now, to prepare for that moment? Ideally what would it look like? Ask God to prepare you for a happy death.
