Highlights:
- All Souls Day – Sun. November 2nd All Souls Day is a day dedicated to honouring and remembering our departed loved ones. It emphasizes the Catholic teaching about “the communion of saints” the spiritual connection between all faithful people, whether living or deceased. This weekend you are invited to add the names of your deceased family and friends in our parish “book of life” We will be praying for names entered during the month of November. Each family is invited to light a tea light at the front of the church in special remembrance of their life. The book of life and candle placement will take place at all at weekend Masses including St. Anne, Chesley & St. Francis Xavier, Carlsruhe.
- Community Brunch News – Sunday, Nov. 2nd following the 9 am Mass and serving until 12:30 pm in the Holy Family Lenhard Room. All are welcome. Your free will offering will go to support the replacement of new hand railings at the church. We thank the Knights of Columbus for organizing and sponsoring this event for us to all enjoy delicious food, a time of fellowship and raise funds for important needs.

Catholic Women’s League News / Invitation During the month of November you will see C.W.L. members wearing their sashes to promote the League. Members pray for each other, support each other with friendship, understanding and sharing in joys and losses. We foster a sense of belonging to a community of women locally, provincially and nationally. We are united by the principles of Catholic teachings.
Sometimes at the Parish level it’s difficult to see the large picture, but you should know that the CWL is one of only two women’s groups officially recognized by the Federal Government and can speak to them on issues that concern us. This is a privileged position, and the League takes seriously it’s committment to speak for Christian social justice. Chat with a woman wearing a sash, find out more about the League and join, or renew your membership for 2026. Dues are $45 For more information about the League, go to more

Reflection on Today’s Gospel
Luke 7: 11-17 Discussion Questions:
- What was the peoples response to Jesus’ power over death?
- Why do you suppose this particular person drew Jesus’ compassion?
- What likely happened as people shared this news?
- ACTION: Share an item of good news and witness of God looking favourably on his people today with whomever you encounter.
