Jubilee Year of Hope: Spirit of Hope Collection
The Episcopal Board of the Diocese of Hamilton is recommending that each parish take up a special “Spirit of Hope Collection” to be used to
assist the poor in their respective parishes. We are most fortunate to have an very active St. Vincent de Paul Society that year around addresses needs of people both in our parish and in the community. We ask you to consider making a special donation using their envelopes which will be provided in the pews next weekend. This will be the way we gather a Spirit of Hope Collection. Provide your info and/or Env. # and you will receive an income tax receipt in the new year for your donation.

Pilgrimage Icon of the Sacred Heart Through the efforts of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Family Church is hosting a Sacred Heart Icon until Nov. 14th. It is hung in Sanctuary with the goal to inspire growth and a greater devotion to the Sacred Heart. You are invited to make time for private prayer this week in the church and gaze upon this beautiful icon. The Knights have made available booklets that contain private or community prayer. For more details, contact the parish office.

A Women’s Cursillo weekend in Deemerton is being offered to women aged 19 years of age and older, November 20-23, 2025. The weekend runs from Thursday evening, November 20  until Sunday late afternoon,
November 23. Through a series of talks by lay people and clergy, Celebration of Mass & Reconciliation, you will get to take a closer look at yourself, God, and others. For more details, please contact Tony or Colleen at

Catholic Women’s League News / Invitation During the month of November you will see C.W.L. members wearing their sashes to promote the League. Members pray for each other, support each other with friendship, understanding and sharing in joys and losses. We foster a sense of belonging to a community of women locally, provincially and nationally. We are united by the principles of Catholic teachings.
Sometimes at the Parish level it’s difficult to see the large picture, but you should know that the CWL is one of only two women’s groups officially recognized by the Federal Government and can speak to them on issues that concern us. This is a privileged position, and the League takes seriously it’s commitment to speak for Christian social justice. Chat with a woman wearing a sash, find out more about the League and join, or renew your membership for 2026. Dues are $40. Those who have them paid by Nov. 20th will have their name entered in a draw for a free membership next year. For more information about the League, go to more

The annual C.W.L. Christmas dinner is on Thursday, November 20th.
Tickets are on sale after Mass. ($25.) We invite ALL ladies of the parish and missions churches (St. Anne & St. Francis Xavier) to come and enjoy a delicious dinner and great entertainment.

Reflection on Today’s Gospel

John 2: 13-22 Discussion Questions:

  1. What do you suppose the disciples thought about the scene taking place?
  2. What can we learn from this passage and their response, reaction and delayed understanding.
  3. Imagine your inner thoughts and private actions being items displayed on tables in the temple. Which ones does Jesus want you to flip over and get rid of?
