As November is the month of the Holy Souls, it is proper to pause and remember and pray for those who have passed from this earthly life.
At the November CWL meeting, we conducted a beautiful memorial to honour in a special way our Catholic Women’s League members who have gone to eternal life this past year. After dimming the lights, a candle was lit and prayer offered for each member as their name was read. Eight faithful members were called home to the Lord this year.
In addition, other candles were lit. One for all the league sisters whose names are written in our Catholic Women’s League Book of Life. One for those whose names are written in our Parish Book of Life.
More candles were lit to remember the souls in Purgatory, the souls of children killed through abortion, those who died serving our country and for all the intentions in our hearts.
Mary our Mother, our intercessor, our Lady of Good Counsel, pray for us.
