League Prayer
We humbly pray you, O God our Father, to bless The Catholic Women’s League of Canada.
Bless our beloved country, our homes and families. Send your Holy Spirit upon us to give light to our minds and strength to our wills that we may know and fulfill your great law of charity. Teach us to share with others at home and abroad the good things you have given us. This we ask through our Lord Jesus Christ, and the intercession of our patroness, Our Lady of Good Counsel. Amen

November Memorial
As November is the month of the Holy Souls, it is proper to pause and remember and pray for those who have passed from this earthly life. At the November CWL meeting, we conducted a beautiful memorial to honour in a special way our Catholic Women’s League members who have gone to eternal life this past year. After dimming the lights, a candle was lit and prayer offered for each member as their name was read. Eight faithful members were called home to the Lord this year. In addition, other candles were lit. One for all the league sisters whose
CWL hosts mental health speakers
The Catholic Women’s League is in its second year of the theme, Inspired by the Spirit: Women Respond to God’s Call, and is focusing its attention nationally on mental health. In keeping with this national theme and focus, we invited two speakers to come to the October meeting from the local mental health association. In opening, the pair asked the questions: Do you have mental health? Do you have stress? Of course, both answers are yes. The bigger question is how do you handle stress. For those who have difficulty handling stress, 2 out of 3 do not get the help they need.

Call on the Holy Spirit for guidance and support. Members had the opportunity to ask many questions to better understand and be supportive to all members in our community.
